How do I wash my blanket?

To wash your blanket please use a cold machine wash with a non bleaching detergent. Once the blanket is washed to help it stay nice and puffy pop it in the tumble dryer on AIR DRY only with a couple of clean tennis balls.

Can I use my blanket to sleep with?

Absolutely! Our blankets are made for both indoor and outdoor use and are great for use whilst sleeping in a tent or hammock when camping or hiking. Our blankets will keep you nice and warm and are rated to 5 degrees celsius (41 degrees fahrenheit).

Why would I want a poncho clip?

The Poncho Clip on all Nakie Blankets, gives you the freedom to wear your blanket as a poncho while getting things done. Reading a book, roasting marshmallows or even drinking a beer. It allows you to stay cosy and warm whilst enjoying the outdoors.

Do you use Animal down?

Absolutely not! We use 100% synthetic down made from recycled plastic bottles (54 to be exact!)

How big are your blankets?

They are surprisingly large at 2m x 1.4m and the bag is surprisingly small at 15cm × 40cm - best of both worlds.

Camping Blankets

Staying warm outdoors shouldn't cost the earth. Nakie's puffy blankets use recycled down alternative fill made from post-consumer plastic bottles, giving you genuine cold-weather warmth without a single animal product involved.

Packed down, our puffy blankets compress into a bag smaller than a shoebox, so they take up almost no space in a car boot or backpack. Water-resistant and quick-drying, they're built for camping trips, footy games, and anything else where the weather might turn.

Every Nakie puffy blanket comes with a lifetime warranty and ships free Australia-wide on orders over $60. We also plant 4 trees for every blanket sold, through our reforestation reserve in Madagascar.

Complete your outdoor setup with our recycled picnic blankets for warmer days, our sand free beach towels for the coast, or shop our officially licensed AFL puffy blankets and NRL puffy blankets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Whilst our Nakie blankets are not 100% waterproof they are water resistant. he blankets outer shell is made from 90/10 DWR fabric - this means that when our blanket was sprayed with water in testing 90% of the fabric remained dry AND the blankets water resistance was unchanged after 10 washes! This also provides excellent stain resistance. In most cases water will bead off your blanket rather than being absorbed, unless it is fully submerged or completely saturated. This is usually more than enough protection from the elements and the blanket will easily handle some light showers or condensation.
